is at least one inventory item setup in the Inventory
Maintenance 
Alternate Alternate Children tab and the item has no stock or has the status of Discontinued, then a message will appear when the part number is selected: "This item has no available stock.
Look for alternatives?”
Steps
| 1. | Yes - to
look for and select an alternative if appropriate. No - to return to the sales order and select another part number |
| 2. | Select relevant item and complete the rest of the sales order |
